Fable Anniversary Launching Early February

December 12, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Lionhead announces remake’s release date and bonus extras.

Fable Anniversay is set to be released on February 4th, 2014 in North America and on February 7th in Europe developer Lionhead Studios has announced on its website.

The game, an HD reworking of the original Fable, was announced at gamescom and was expected to be launched this Autumn before being pushed back to February.

Along with the game, those who pre-order will also be entitled to additional items and costumes for use in Fable Anniversary. The development team wrote:

"Contained within each limited-run box you’ll find a 5×5 code for the Launch Day Outfits & Weapons Pack which will all be packaged up in a shiny, slip-on embossed case. Ooooo! We thought to ourselves; what famous Fable characters would our fans like to dress up as on day one? The answer was simple… for the first time ever, your Hero can now dress up as Scythe!"

The full pack contains:

  • Scythe’s Outfit
  • Black Graduate Outfit
  • Red Prophet Outfit
  • Blue Guard Outfit
  • Red Guard Outfit
  • Lute Weapon
  • Will User’s Sceptre Weapon

Fans will also be entitled to a special edition avatar item – a lion head hat. Fable Anniversary is headed to Xbox 360 and may eventually come to PC but not at launch.
