Former Star Wars 1313 developer Dominic Robilliard didn’t wait long to figure out what to do next with his career. It has been verified that the game’s Creative Director has signed up as Design Director with SCEA. Here’s a big surprise: this is actually a homecoming, since Dominic got his start with SCEA.
In fact, Dominic has been working with them since July 2013, making it over 7 months now. There are no other clues as to what Dominic has been working on, but it’s entirely possible it’s a game in development for the Playstation 4 – if it isn’t one of the games that has been already released.
Although his LinkedIn page only indicates these two projects, he’s taken on more roles in the industry in the twelve years he’s been working in it. He was a designer and voice actor for both 2002’s The Getawar and 2004’s The Getaway: Black Monday. He also worked on the original God of War and Locoroco. All four of these games were made under SCEA.
While in LucasArts, he worked on Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, Lucidity, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge – Special Edition.
If it isn’t apparent by now, Dominic’s oevre spans a broad range of genres, employing different approaches and gameplay styles. His current project with Sony might not be anything like Star Wars 1313 at all. In any case, I’m sure he’s relieved to find a home in the company he started out from, and we look forward to hearing about his current and upcoming projects.
