He added that many players first experience of the series was Dissidia Final Fantasy.
Hazama said that both Dissidia and Theatrhythm were developed in order to introduce Final Fantasy to a new generation of players. While a new Dissidia may happen eventually; Square Enix is currently working on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XV, and Kingdom Hearts 3.
The company also recently relaunched Final Fantasy XIV and the better than expected performance of the rebooted MMO helped Square Enix return to a profit in their latest financial results.
