To show off the Xbox One dashboard in action, Marc Whitten and Yusuf Mehdi from the Xbox team sit down to navigate through menus.
Like the taskbar found on Windows computers, Xbox One players can pin games, movies, music and other applications to the Pins section of the Xbox One home screen. Pins let players quickly access their favourite or most frequently used applications without the need to navigate further.
And when players sign in, their personalization and customization options save for future use. If players share the room with a friend or family member, they too can bring up their customized dashboard by saying voice command "Xbox, show my stuff."
The Kinect lets players navigate between menus and applications. To demonstrate the voice recognition, Marc Whitten uses voice commands to quickly between the dashboard, a paused game of Forza Motorsport 5 and a television show.
The Xbox One can perform many functions such as Skype conversation using the Kinect, record video and browse the internet. The Xbox One launches November 22.
Even though the dashboard can perform a variety of functions, the Xbox One dashboard will look completely different in the coming years.
