Titanfall, one of the biggest next-generation titles set to be released in the coming months, will be exclusive to the Xbox One. At least, that’s the story that EA and Microsoft have been touting earlier today. It’s a move that few in the know expected, as developer Respawn Entertainment had previously stated that the Xbox One was simply the focus for the new team of creators early on. However, co-founder Vince Zampella has just confirmed that future games coming out of his studio will hit the PS4.
As you’d guess, Zampella has been swarmed with a barrage of Tweets from both members of the media and those who currently have a pre-order down on a PS4. He had this to say about today’s news:
Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently =(

@AdanGarciaG Of course we will, just not the first Titanfall.

It sounds like this exclusivity deal was a bit of a surprise to Zempella, too, but he continued by saying that his only real focus now is making the best game possible. According to just about everyone who’s played the game, Respawn is doing a pretty fine job at delivering something truly special.
