Blockbuster UK has entered administration for the second time this year and while stores will remain open as the group looks for a buyer, those with PS4 or Xbox One pre-orders will need to look elsewhere. The company's Twitter has officially confirmed it cannot meet requests for the consoles.
@JackInTheBox05 We are sorry that you will be disappointed and that we can’t fulfil any xboxone or PS4 pre-orders at this time.

The account went on to say that customers with pre-orders are currently being notified:
"We appreciate and recognise the amount of messages about pre-orders. We're sorry some of you haven't received your calls yet. They're happening as we type."
Those who pre-ordered in store are advised to go to their local branch while online customers will need to contact head office. Details on how to contact Blockbuster can be found on the firm's Facebook page.
While the company exited administration earlier this year the next-gen consoles are set to be released with a month and there's no guarantee that a buyer will be found before that time. While some customers may be disappointed other retailers could have increased stock of the PS4 and Xbox One if Sony and Microsoft reallocate units as a result of Blockbuster's troubles.
Blockbuster now has 264 stores down for 528.
Gordon Brothers Europe, the current owners, told the BBC that, "Regrettably, the months since the acquisition have also coincided with a period of poor trading performance across both rental and retail sales."
