Nintendo has just released patch 1.1 for Pokemon X and Y, fixing the saving issue in Lumiose City. The download is 229 blocks.
If you remember, the issue was connected to trying to save outside Lumiose City. If a taxi happened to pass by while you did this, and you reset and reentered the game, it will freeze. There were multiple workarounds to this, but it seemed most players just outright avoided saving in Lumiose City completely. You can get more details on the bug here.
Nintendo did not take too long to acknowledge the issue, and one week later, the fix is here. It will work in such a way that even if you run into the bug, it will restore functionality.
The patch also fixes a lesser known bug in the GTS, related to filtering. GTS, also known as Global Trade Station, or Global Trade System in some games, allows players to trade Pokemon with other players around the world, using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
When a player wants to pick out a Pokemon they want, they can filter options, such as level, gender, and country of origin. In Pokemon X and Y, the GTS is connected to the Player Search System and is now accessible in more locations. Players can also request Pokemon that have not yet been registered in their Pokedex.
The bug works in such a way that when you use a filter while looking for Pokemon, or start a trade, you will get an error message connected to communication, forcing you to reset. If you never ran across this issue, you won’t have to worry about it again.
