Rockstar has announced a collaboration with book publisher Mulholland Books and eight thriller genre writers to produce L.A. Noire: The Collected Stories, an anthology of original short fiction inspired by the world of the game.
L.A. Noire: The Collected Stories will feature eight short stories from authors Megan Abbott, Lawrence Block, Joe Landsdale, Joyce Carol Oates, Francise Prose, Jonathan Santlofer, Duane Swierczynski and Andrew Vachss. Each of the stories will revisit many of the characters and cases in the game, providing a new spin to tell the tales of emotionally torn protagonists, depraved schemers and ill-fated victims.
Today, Rockstar released an except of "The Girl" by award-winning writer Megan Abbott as a PDF and through the site's online reader.
