As Xbox One fans prepare for the November launch, Respawn Entertainment continues to develop their multiplayer only Xbox exclusive. Players will soon find themselves shooting from a first-person perspective inside the cockpit of a mechanized titan, and looking down the sites of a gun with an agile pilot. At the EB Expo Arena in Australia, Community Manager at Respawn, Abbie Heppe, discusses the development of Titanfall.
Without actually playing Titanfall, viewers cannot accurately judge the nuances of Titanfall's combat. Pilots can run, jump and climb walls, but Heppe explains that many players don't know of the momentum building when chaining together successful actions. Abilities also transfer to Titans as the suits allow players to deploy smoke or even dash for increased mobility.
Alienating the lesser skilled or unfamiliar first-person shooter players, can segment the player base. To include all types of players, Respawn wanted easily learnable controls which let players perform the same impressive actions as even the most skilled pilot.
The below presentation won't provide any new Titanfall footage, yet it can help people understand the hype around the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC title set to release in the Spring of 2014.
