To allow players to practice driving vehicles, DICE will include a testing range for vehicles and helicopters in Battlefield 4.Within your friend group you probably designated one person as the pilot and another person as a tank driver. With such a steep learning curve, many unfamiliar or unpracticed players shy away from piloting helicopters in fear of crashing and killing everyone inside.
When speaking with IGN, Lars Gustavsson revealed that DICE will include a "test range, which allows you to try out all the hardware ahead of time so that if you want to learn to fly a helicopter you can get in there and you can find the settings that work best for you."
Players in Battlefield 3 also complained of the newly added rent-a-server system that introduced some exciting servers but also created some frustration. Lars also shared similar frustration with the rent-a-server system and explained that Battlefield 4 will include boundaries or filter specifications that allow for easier access to official servers. For Battlefield 3, at least on consoles, finding a server with normal ticket count, regular map rotation and default settings, proved unnecessarily difficult.
Battlefield 4 will release on October 29th.
