Do you know how YouTube degrades picture quality when you upload it? Well, unless you've got all your settings right and do not compress the video before it even goes up, chances are that the video everyone gets to see once they watch it on YouTube will have a degraded quality.
This is especially true for Call of Duty: Ghosts videos that are uploaded by YouTubers, claims oL0RDo, who created a video to illustrate the difference between what Ghosts actually looks like on the Xbox One (based on screenshots) versus what it looks like in a video uploaded to YouTube (based on screen captures of said videos).
He writes:
Watch in 1080p to see the full detail. COD Ghosts multiplayer gameplay looks absolutely beautiful, but the way YouTube compresses and downgrades the quality, it doesn't really show it off like it should. It isn't Call of Duty Ghosts fault, or the Xbox One, or even the YouTuber. It's all because YouTube wants to load smaller files for everyone. Well, I hope you enjoy the comparison and definitely look near the end of the video at how the Ghosts gameplay pictures differ from the BO2 gameplay pics.
In the video, he embedded the following image archive of screenshots to showcase what Call of Duty: Ghosts actually looks like when you see it in person. Check that out below.
The difference is like night and day.
