Resident Evil has a massive following and it Capcom is really treating fans with a remake that gamers have been asking about for years. Much like how the development team did with the original Resident Evil title, Capcom had remade Resident Evil 2 for current generation platforms. In fact, the development team had made the announcement a few years ago but now we’re quickly approaching the release date this month. For those who have enjoyed the original title, there won’t be too much in terms of differences, but one thing that should likely have players taking their time exploring the in-game world is the number of secrets and Easter Eggs that Capcom has placed within the game.
As mentioned, there won’t be too many differences to the game. Capcom is keeping the same story and creatures you’ll face against along the way, but they ditched the static cameras along with the tank style controls for more modern game mechanics. However, it does appear that the game will feature a few new elements according to Kazunori Kadoi, the director behind Resident Evil 2. In a press event tour within Dubai, it was asked if there are any secrets we can expect in the game which Kazunori Kadoi stated that there will be a number of these hidden elements throughout the game, some of which will be completely new. For instance, fans who take time exploring and are familiar with the franchise may find some Easter Eggs that are related to the latest main installment, Resident Evil 7.
We’re not sure just what these Easter Eggs regarding Resident Evil 7 will be about, but we’re sure that the hunt for all secrets and Easter Eggs will quickly begin when the Resident Evil 2 video game finally makes its way out into the market. Luckily for you, that won’t be too much longer. Resident Evil 2 is set to release on January 25, 2019, for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
