Update: The new game will be a mobile title which you can read about right here.
For fans of the horror film franchise Aliens, owning a copy of Alien: Isolation is automatically a must-have. However, if you’re unfamiliar with the film, you can still find some enjoyment from this video game title. Launched back in 2014, developers Creative Assembly has released this survival horror title for a variety of platforms over the years. In terms of the film franchise, Alien: Isolation is set fifteen years after the events of Alien, where players will take on the role of Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Ellen Ripley who is on an investigation of tracking down the mysterious disappearance of her mother.
This was a treasured and beloved title for fans that enjoy the survival horror genre. Players were left to explore and avoid confrontation of the hostile alien species. As a result, the game could get quite tense as you attempted to maneuver around the game and since the title released, there was a big following. Despite the following, we didn’t get any real news regarding a sequel or continuation of the narrative story. In the past, Sega has expressed interest in bringing out a sequel but it has yet to officially become a confirmed working title.

That’s of course until the internet spotted a Tweet sent out by the official Alien Twitter account. In a recent Tweet, there was confirmation that Amada Ripley will uncover the secrets left by Nostromo disappearance. Apparently, this announcement is coming in January thanks to the tag left in the Tweet. While some may assume that this could indicate that the announcement may be a comic book series already stated production, another tag states “ReadPlayWatch” so perhaps 2019 will be a big year for Alien announcements.
We may get a comic book series, a video game title along with a new film adaptation. Of course, that’s purely speculation as we have to wait for the official announcement is made from the Alien team. While we wait for the announcement to come we want to hear your thoughts. Do you believe we will get an Alien: Isolation sequel announcement this month? Let us know by leaving us a comment down below.
