Blackpowder Games, a development team composed of talent from Monolith Studios, today announced a new first-person shooter, Betrayer.
The team describes Betrayer as a "first person action adventure game" set in the 17th century. Using 17th century weaponry, players will wander the wilderness to find clues of the dead. With the clues you find, players will slowly begin to understand where all of the land's color went and learn about the people that once inhabited the wilderness.
To protect you in the wilderness, players will use bows, crossbows, axes and muskets.
Betrayer will represent the studio's first project set to release on Steam for early access later this August
