Following the path that Nintendo created with the Nintendo Entertainment System Classic, Sony is also releasing a standalone small PlayStation model that comes packed with select video game titles. Most have speculated that after the success had with the NES Classic and the latest Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic editions, we would see other big name companies follow suit and that’s exactly what’s happening.
Sony revealed the PlayStation Classic in which the model looks just like the original PlayStation console, but the system is significantly smaller. Much like the NES Classic, the Sony PlayStation Classic will come loaded with select video game titles but we’re not told all of the video games are included at the moment. Currently, the system is coming with Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and lastly Wild Arms.
With that said, Sony did announce that there would be a total of twenty video games included within the bundle. Included so far in the pack are two original PlayStation controllers, these are the ones that do not come with analog sticks, an HDMI cable to connect your PlayStation Classic to a display, the USB power cable and lastly, the console unit itself.
Players will have to pay $99.99 in order to enjoy the game console when it launches on December 3, 2018. We expect that this would make an excellent Christmas present for gamers. For now, we’ll have to wait and see just what all Sony is including in terms of the video games being bundled and if there is a potential we’ll see a means of adding more video game titles into the system.
