Treyarch, the developers of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, are the kings of Easter eggs. They practically invented the Easter egg quests in the many, many Zombies maps that followed Call of Duty: World at War — and now they’re littering nostalgic secrets all over Blackout. Not only can you hear Verruckt’s secret song all over again, you’ll unlock it the exact same way.
It’s all about a toilet. Flush it enough times on Verruckt, a DLC Zombies map for Call of Duty: World at War, and you’ll hear a secret song called “Lullaby for a Deadman” — give it a listen without the moan of the undead or the roar of gunfire with the video below.

The Secret Song Returns In Asylum | Easter Egg Guide
The “Asylum” area of Blackout is almost an exact duplicate of Verruckt, one of the earliest Zombie survival maps in the Call of Duty series. Verruckt was also one of those early experiments with Easter Eggs. If you flush a very particular toilet three times, the music would start playing in that map. The Easter egg is back, naturally — you’ll be able to locate the old toilet and give it a flush to hear this song for yourself.
- On the second floor of the Asylum, there’s a large room with a bathtub and three toilets. Interact [Hold X] on the left-most toilet. Do this three times for three flushes. The music will begin.
All of the areas in Blackout are based on the long history of the series. You’ll find homages around every corner. This is one of the most direct references to an older map, and an awesome little secret if you missed the original all those years ago. Asylum is almost a copy, with a similar layout. Most of the areas are only “inspired” by old maps, with huge differences. The Asylum is pretty different, but spooky enough to match the old undead-infested survival map.
There’s a second “secret” song you can listen to, too! Go to Nuketown and find the bunker entrance. If you drop down inside, you’ll find a retro diner / kitchen with a jukebox. Give that bad boy a listen, and you’ll hear the sequel-song to “Lullaby for a Deadman” called “Lovesong for a Deadman.” This second song appeared in the Tranzit map, which the underground bunker is clearly designed after.
