The world of Minecraft continues to grow into something truly special. No longer just a simple creation project with a unique presentation, Mojang’s PC and Xbox 360 game has become a massive, wonderfully deep experience that millions of players are enjoying. Update 1.6.1 has just arrived on the PC, most notably adding the ownership of horses. Sure, you can spend all day learning how to name and take care of the wonderful animals, as well as discover everything that’s new to craft, but why waste all that time? A slew of new guides and walkthroughs for the update have just been released, so let the most experienced players do all the work for you.
The first video runs through everything you can do with the horses in the game. Players have the ability to name, feed, and eventually ride the creatures across the vast environments. It takes a bit of work to tame your steed, and in some cases, it looks as if the animal won’t even want you on its back. But it’s all about persistence and patience, which is exactly what you’ll see in the below guide.
The next two videos show a bit of crafting. Both hardened clay and coal blocks can now be created in the world of Minecraft, and the two guides here show both how to create the materials, as well as their purpose in the world. Once again, you can discover all of this information on your own, but let’s just pretend that everyone’s time is valuable and let the community act as the teacher.
