Plenty of people are excited to experience the HD re-released of Fable: The Lost Chapters. The original game developed by Lionhead remains one of the most memorable titles for the original Xbox, so as you’d guess, there’s a significant amount of hype around Fable Anniversary. The Xbox 360 version of the game is the one we’ve discussed up to this point and as of right now, it seems to be the only release planned.
A recent FAQ released by the developer has cleared the air on the platforms this new title will be coming to. While a PC version hasn’t been ruled out, there’s no active development for one as of this time.
“Is it going to release on Xbox 360 at launch? Absolutely!” the post reads. “We have also heard lots of players asking about a PC version and all we can say is right now is that we’re only developing this for Xbox 360. We’re not ruling out a PC version; however nothing is in development at this time.”
That’s some sad news for the PC crowd, as they’d likely love to see just how pretty Fable Anniversary would look on their high-end PCs. A screenshot comparing both the original game and the upcoming remastered version was released earlier this week, and as you’d guess, the quality differences are quite staggering. We’ll still be able to enjoy the visual proficiency the Xbox 360 provides when the game launches in the near future, but for some people, that may not be good enough.
