Originally announced in March, the Unreal Engine 4-powered horror game Daylight has been confirmed for a next-gen release on the PlayStation 4.
Developed by Zombie Studios, best known for their work on Blacklight Retribution, Daylight is described as a procedurally generated psychological thriller in which the player must venture through an abandoned hospital with only their cell phone for illumination. They explore the hospital's criminal and insane past as they attempt to escape its confines.
"Daylight introduces gamers to a procedurally generated world that replicates the horrifying nature of Daylight over and over again, but creates a different environment for each new game.
"Each time the player begins a new game, they experience a new world with new content and encounters; from the layout of the building and the things they seek to the events they encounter, it is never the same experience twice."
In addition to its pending release on the PlayStation 4, the game will also be available on the PC through Steam.
