Don’t own New Super Mario Bros. U? Are you also unable to connect to the internet because you live in some sort of weird quagmire? You may be in a strange situation, my friend, but it looks as if Nintendo has you covered for this wonderful “Year of Luigi.” Although the Super Luigi U DLC was initially announced as additional content for the core game, Nintendo has decided to also release it to retailers as a full, boxed title. On August 25, you can expect New Super Luigi U at your local GameStop or Best Buy for the cool price of $29.99.
Well, maybe that price really isn’t all that cool. The DLC that can be purchased if you own the original game will be sold at a discounted $19.99, so really, it doesn’t make too much sense to buy the game the other way. If you own a Wii U, it’s likely that you have the New Super Mario Bros. game for it. There’s barely anything else to play. Yet, I suppose it’s nice to at least have the option.

What’s important is that there will be plenty of new levels to conquer in this Luigi-focused title. There will be no Mario in any form; so instead, players will be able to control Nabbit. Yes, he’s the little bunny-man who you chased in the first game. If you’re interested, you can either download or pick up this these additional levels on August 25 for one of the two prices listed above.
