Saints Row 4 PAX East Demo Released to the Public

May 9, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

If you didn’t make it to PAX East, Volition has you covered.

Deep Silver and Volition want to bring you as close to the development process of the upcoming Saints Row 4 as possible. Instead of simply supplying new screens or trailers, the developer has released an in-game walkthrough straight from the pre-alpha version of the game based on the demo shown during March’s PAX East event in Boston.

The title may not be in a completed state, but senior producer Jim Boone from Volition is the man holding your hand through the chaotic, beautiful streets of the virtual Steelport. In Saints Row 4, which will be launching on for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC, players will take control of what can only be described as the most violent president to ever grace the White House. Instead of vetoes, the most powerful man in America will be throwing punches, kicks to the groin, and enough hot lead to make even the most action-packed movie jealous.

Plenty of weapons can be seen in the above video. Players can inflate enemies, make them groove to the latest dubstep “hit,” or just decide to blow them to smithereens. However, it’s the Saints’ newfound superpowers that will allow the citizens to leap over buildings, run like bolts of lightning through the streets, and send enemies flying with telekinesis.

Those looking to invest in the next great sequel in the Saints Row franchise can pre-order the game now and nab the additional content in the Commander-in-Chief edition. The wait won’t be too much longer, either, as the game will be launching on current-generation consoles August 20.
