The Oculus Rift may well be a gamechanger when it comes to how video games are experienced—at least physically. I don't mean to say that it'll make games more "emotional" in the David Cage sense, or that it'll somehow make narratives any less important in the presentation—only that the Oculus Rift gives players the chance to have a more immersive experience when interacting with a game, essentially by being within the game itself and seeing it through their own two eyes instead of through a monitor.
Thus far, the games that have been playable on the Oculus Rift include little more than first person shooters like Crysis and Doom 3. Today, a modder going by Cymatic Bruce has modded Skyrim to work on the device. He showcases his first impressions in the first portion of his video, seen above, and breaks out of it around the halfway mark to get the most out of the game.
Bruce used a piece of software called Vireio Perception to get the game running on the Oculus Rift.
