Sony has released a new trailer for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, this one focusing on his partner in crime, Bentley the turtle. The trailer starts with a funny little sequence that highlights a particularly tricky part of the process of building a time machine, which is how Sly and his friends manage to travel back in time over the course of the game. Bentley is having trouble with some IKEA-style instructions for how to connect a “conversion cube” with a “blue gamma rod”, and so he phones a helpline number, at the end of which is – of course – an automated response.
After Bentley has lost his temper with the automated service (and managed to accidentally fit the two pieces together), we get to see some clips of him in action. Far from restricting him, his wheelchair gives him added abilities, letting him make a quick getaway as he sets off a bomb, or fly around on boosters. It looks like Bentley uses a range of different gadgets in the game, which makes for some interesting gameplay that we perhaps haven't seen in other games.
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time has some other cool features too, like augmented reality that uses the PlayStation Vita. You get a version of the game on Vita through the “Cross Buy” initiative when you buy it on PS3. Apparently, the game is already available in the US, but here in the UK we don't get it until the 26th of March.
