Bluehole Studio’s extremely popular battle-royale title, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds finally has a date confirmed for its exit of early access. PUBG will leave Early Access and launch in 1.0 on December 20.
Of course, the leaving of early access doesn’t really constitute much of a change – rather, just a new formal basepoint that was probably pushed by Microsoft. That being said, the game will still have continuous bug fix updates and content additions.
With the announcement of this news, Bluehole studios also announced that the new desert map will become available for PC players tonight while Xbox players get the chance to play it next year. The desert map is set to bring 3 new pieces of content, a retro pickup truck, a sawn-off shotgun and a lever-action rifle.
‘PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. This realistic, high tension game is set on a massive 8×8 km island with a level of detail that showcases Unreal Engine 4’s capabilities. ‘
PUBG is out now for PC and will release for Xbox One December 12th.
