Here’s What The New Halo 4 Maps Look Like

February 18, 2013 by Mathew Jones

Check out these illicitly obtained screenshots that The Man doesn’t want you to see

Far before a time where you’ll actually play them, pictures of the next Halo map pack have dropped out of a big hole in whatever Microsoft-Funded 343 branded folder had them stashed in beforehand.

Maybe a rat gnawed at it?

They’ve unfortunately tumbled out of where they were supposed to be until their dissemination at an appropriate time. We’ve published them on our website now already, though, so we’ve wrecked their chance at a decent reveal. We’ve ruined everything. They were going to come out later but they’re on the internet already. Gosh, we’re terrible!

You can look at them now, but know …you aren’t technically supposed to. Be a rebel, like us.

The maps are called “Landfall, Monolith & Skyline”, which certainly sound not only like maps from Halo, but also maps from any video game, really. They could be map names from “Cel Damage” on the original Xbox and they’d probably still sound fitting.

The map pack will be out later this month where, presumably, you will inhabit them while shooting people on the opposite team. Depending on the game mode you’ll also probably pick up a skull to continually gain points while you hold it or carry a flag from one side of the map to the other.

It’s unconfirmed, but it’s likely you’ll use weapons like the “Battle Rifle” or the “Needler” in your attempt to “win” against your opponents.

Two of the maps are small, one of them’s medium sized.
