Activision has released a new live-action trailer for Black Ops 2's upcoming Revolution DLC. Starring actor Peter Stormare (The Big Lebowski), the trailer shows us how someone like him, which he calls a "Replacer," can be a proxy while you're out pumping all your time in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
The actual trailer itself is light on gameplay, but let's be honest here, the fact that you're reading this means you're a Call of Duty fan. And if so, that means you already know what you're getting into even if you haven't played a second of the map pack.
I admit, that trailer was a lot funnier than I thought it would be.
For those who need a refresher, Revolution will contain four new multiplayer maps, a new zombie map, and for the first time ever, a weapon DLC called the Peacekeeper. Speaking of which, game director David Vonderhaar went on Twitter to clarify a few things about the weapon, which you can read about here.
We're not done with Black Ops 2 stuff just yet. If you boot the game up now, you'll get a message by Treyarch announcing that a new Double XP event is set to take place this coming weekend. It will start this Friday, January 25 (10 a.m. PST) and run through until Monday, January 28 (10 a.m. PST) for all platforms.
If you're on the Xbox 360, then you won't stop playing Black Ops 2 even after the Double XP event is finished as Revolution will be released a day after — January 29 — on Xbox LIVE with the other platforms' release scheduled to follow. Mind you, I wouldn't be surprised if Treyarch announced another Double XP weekend for the Xbox 360 crowd to jumpstart Revolution's release…and if I'm not mistaken, isn't that how these things work for Call of Duty in previous iterations, too?
So, who here will be grinding their way to reach Master Prestige before Revolution drops? Excited for the map pack yet or should Treyarch fix the game's issues first?
