The resolution for the Switch release of Bethesda’s DOOM has been confirmed. Docked and Undocked, players will be able to smash through demos at a modest 720p. The release has also been confirmed to run at 30FPS
“The game and rendering technology underlying Doom is extremely scalable.” Said a spokesperson for DOOM, “In bringing Doom to Switch, we targeted outstanding visuals at a solid 30 fps and by maintaining a consistent 30 fps, the experience remains consistently fluid and smooth. We’ve been thrilled with the feedback that Doom is among the very best looking and performing games on Switch.”
Bethesda recently announced that the multiplayer component of the title would be excluded from the physical copy of the title, players will have to download it digitally if they wish to verse each other online.
“Considering that the game was pretty huge when it launched last year for Xbox One and PS4, fans have been wondering just how much of the game will actually be on the Switch’s cartridge considering the limited space of both Nintendo’s cartridge and the actual console.
Bethesda has addressed this issue stating that the company will offer the full game as a download for those who buy digitally. But, if you prefer your games physical, then you’ll only get the single-player part of the game. The multiplayer can be downloaded for free by those with a cartridge.”
If you wish to download the multiplayer component, it will take up 9 gigs of space on your Switch.
