Borderlands 2 Xbox 360 Compatibility Pack Now Fixed, Gear-Up Event Extended

January 16, 2013 by Alex Co

Gearbox has now fixed the compatibility pack bug on the Xbox 360…and they’re also extending the Gear-Up event, too!

If you're an Xbox 360 Borderlands 2 player, chances are you or someone you know has encountered issues with the compatibility pack, which kept users from joining up with other Borderlands 2 players online.

Well, we're glad to say that now — as of this moment — the bug has been resolved! Compatibility packs are now working and are ready for download.

To make up for this little gaff, Gearbox is extending their Gear-Up event where Vermivorous the Invincible appears at an increase occurence, as long as there are two or more players present. The studio is now extending the boss' increased rate of spawning up to Thursday, January 16, 11:55 a.m. EST.

Just in case you need an added incentive to blast this bug into pieces, once it's defeated, players will have a very high chance of acquiring the legendary Nerfleet Rocket Launcher off of his carcass! Not that you need any reason to slay baddies in Borderlands 2, but there you go.

So, Xbox 360 Borderlands 2 fans, squad up, download the compatibility pack and go slay some fools! There's loot and enemies waiting!

Thanks, MP1st
