Remember those 7,000 Wii Us that were stolen from a Seattle warehouse last month, from Sea-Tac airport to be exact, right before Christmas? Well, they haven't been recovered. In fact, it now appears as if the robbers might never get caught.
Kotaku reports that the two trailers and the smaller box truck that were all used to transport the stolen goods were recently recovered. And each was completely empty.
The box truck and one of the trailers were found in various places in Washington, while the remaining trailer was found all the way south in California. All three has “S.S. Trans” painted on them, crudely. Perhaps as a calling card of some sort?
As a result, Seattle police has increased the reward for information on the stolen goods and those involved to $10,000. The total value of the shipment was over $2,000,000.
Hate to say this, but there's a good chance that the criminals were able to successfully part ways with the Wii Us, which was one of the hottest items this past Christmas.
If you live in the Pacific Northwest and your mom or dad bought your console off of Craiglist, there's a tiny chance that it might have been stolen. Just saying.
