DmC’s protagonist, Dante, is the spawn of an angel and a demon. Though he appears human, he has within him the power to embrace either one of his dual natures to become something more than himself. Appropriately enough, these powers are called Angel Trigger, and Devil Trigger.

Human Form
When in his normal human form, Dante reverts to his signature weapons—Rebellion, his trademark sword; Ebony and Ivory, a pair of heavy duty handguns; and Revenant, a powerful shotgun. It’s interesting to note that Rebellion can morph into various forms, such as a whip, a spear, a hook, and so forth. Finally, Dante has a powerful cannon called Kablooey—it creates big explosions.

Angel Form
When Dante embraces the form of the Angel, he equips Osiris, a scythe that compares favorably to his typical weapon, Rebellion. It’s lighter and faster, but does less damage than his sword. Dante’s also equipped with Ophion, a whip that allows him to extend combos and traverse the environment. The whip changes depending on whether Dante triggers his Devil or Angel form. Lastly, Dante has at his disposal the Aquila, a pair of magical shuriken that rend foes asunder.

Demon Form
As a demon, Dante can plow through demons with his fists while wielding a pair of magical gauntlets known as Eryx. These demonic hands provide Dante with brute strength and serve him well in close combat. If punching things to death isn’t your thing, Dante can also equip a huge axe called the Arbiter. As with his Angel form, Dante can equip Orphion as a Demon.
