Professor Layton has been on many adventures, and he's nowhere close to hanging up that tall hat of his. He's set to go on his next adventure, which is titled Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies, that sees him dealing with a host of all new puzzles while solving what may be his greatest mystery yet.
The developer has released a trailer of the game to showcase some of the story and the locations in which the game is set to take place. It's in Japanese, so just watch it for the animation.
Currently in development at Level-5 for the Nintendo 3DS, the game is the sixth entry in the long-running series and is the third part of the prequel trilogy. It is the last game to feature Layton himself as the main character.
The story follows Layton and his assistants Luke and Emmy as they travel to the city of Snowrassa to investigate a living mummy. There, they discover a girl named Aria who comes from the ancient race of Azrans, frozen in ice. After freeing her from her icy prison, they must find a way to help her recover her lost memories and search for the truth behind the mysterious Azran civilization.
Like all the previous games, it's set to offer a lot of puzzle solving. It's set for release on February 28 in Japan. International versions are expected later this year.
