If you happen to be in Melbourne this weekend, Federation Square has a special video games extravaganza in store for you.
In recognition of PAX Aus, the biggest gaming festival to grace Australia’s evergreen shores, a free pop-up event will be open to the public featuring local bands, a giant Jenga and unreleased indie games.
Designed as an entree to the full PAX experience, attendees can get into the gaming spirit early by participating in high-score tournaments projected on a massive screen, and enjoy the ambience of the world’s most liveable city. PAX Aus Content Manager Luke Lancaster invites everyone to get involved:
“Before the PAX mothership descends upon Melbourne this October, we’re very excited to offer a snack-sized PAX at Fed Square…Come hang out, play games, win prizes, enjoy the concerts and surround yourself with the amazing PAX community.”
There’s also the chance to win 3-Day passes to PAX Aus, which are normally priced at $165 AUD a pop.
PAX Aus takes place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 27-29.
