Two months have elapsed since Bubsy’s comeback, and to celebrate the impending launch of Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back, fans are being treated to a new gameplay trailer.
In contrast to the teaser trailer, it shows off the levels in much more detail, along with Bubsy’s infamous commentary. They’re a colourful pseudo 3D arrangement of caves, deserts, moving platforms, and are packed with tons of collectable yarn—the game’s main currency. Like the original Bubsy games, the main enemies are the ‘woolies’, noodle-haired aliens that are on a mission to devour every piece of wool in sight.
One of the most striking differences compared to Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind and Bubsy II is the much broader visual plane, which gives players a better understanding of where they’re located spatially. As for whether the one-hit deaths are still included, we’ll have to wait and see.
Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back launches on October 31 for PC and PlayStation 4.
