Next Week’s Famitsu Will Have “Something Surprising” for Metal Gear Solid Fans

December 12, 2012 by Alex Co

The next issue of Famitsu has something "surprising" for Metal Gear fans!

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has teased this week that in its next issue, which is due next week, they will have "something surprising for Metal Gear Solid fans."

Sadly, no other details been shared aside from that. But seeing as "Phantom Pain" a.k.a as Metal Gear Solid V (5) was shown off at last week's VGAs and knowing that Kojima Productions is officially involved might be the answer to this mystery. It's either that or maybe they're ready to drop new details regarding Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes — y'know, the officially announced Metal Gear Solid game.

So, what would you want it to be? Confirmation of Phantom Pain as Metal Gear Solid V for next-gen platforms? Maybe a Wii U version of MGS: Ground Zeroes? With Kojima behind this, anything's possible.

Are you convinced Phantom Pain is a Metal Gear game or is there a chance Kojima is trolling us into a frenzy before dropping the bomb that it's not MGS-related?
