While Activision is going the season pass route when it comes to Black Ops 2's DLCs, that doesn't mean they're leaving Call of Duty Elite members in the lurch. It seems Elite members might be receiving a few perks and exclusive Elite weapon camos might be one of 'em.
Additionally it also looks like people who bought Black Ops 2's "Hardened and Care Package" editions will get exclusive skins, too. I presume that's what the "CE Digital" weapon camo is for.
Call of Duty fan and Twitter user @SpoiledCrayons managed to grab an early of the game and he has now uploaded a few images showing off these exclusive camos (via Charlie Intel).
According to SpoiledCrayons, the weapon skins are listed under the "DLC" tab, but we're still left in the dark on exactly how to unlock it. The photos listed below are from the game's leaked retail version though. So these camos will most assuredly be in the version of Black Ops 2 players pick up on store shelves.
In addition to the camos, Stephen (SpoiledCrayons' real name) also revealed on Twitter that Black Ops 2's multiplayer servers aren't live yet. So, don't worry about people running around day one that's on a higher level than you. I don't doubt that Activision will most likely be doing a server-reset or stat wipe, once the game's released officially.
Speaking of day one, Black Ops 2 will get a day one update. We still do not know if this update is for the single-player or multiplayer portion of the game, but we do know it clocks in at 26MB. Not that bad for a day one update, no? Hopefully, it doesn't balloon beyond that.
For Call of Duty Elite founders/premium members, is getting exclusive weapon camos enough to quell any misgivings you might have had in paying for the service? If given a choice, would you rather Call of Duty Elite's premium service stay the same or is a season pass a better package?
Black Ops 2 is set for release next week (November 13) on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
