We already know Black Ops 2 has been leaked in certain areas of the world, now that it's in people's hands, it seems more and more details regarding what the game has to offer is getting leaked ahead of launch.
This time, it's the loading images for each of Black Ops 2's 14 maps. DigitalWarfare247 forum user absolutecobblers has compiled all of it into one handy image, which you can see below along with a list for the complete map list shipping with the game.
- Aftermath
- Cargo
- Carrier
- Drone
- Express
- Hijacked
- Meltdown
- Overflow
- Plaza
- Promenade
- Raid
- Standoff
- Turbine
- Yemen
Keep in mind that these are the maps that will come on the disc. This doesn't include Nuketown 2025 which will only be available as a pre-order bonus; and Black Ops 2's Season Pass that will guarantee that the game's map count will topple over the 20 mark.
One thing I noticed though is the absence of snow maps, which might be a good or bad thing. While some people loved Array in Black Ops 1, I personally found the map a bit annoying due to its size and multitude of hiding places. Also, Promenade's loading image confirms that we will have one nighttime map, although the image suggest it will be lighted up significantly.
Now that you know what each map's general design direction is like, are they what you were expecting or do they seem too familiar with the franchise's other maps? Come to think of it, which developer do you prefer when it comes to map design, Treyarch or Infinity Ward?
