Getting a Wii U? Cool. Getting Tekken Tag Tournament 2? Better get an External Drive!

October 26, 2012 by Nick Lalone

Maybe they’ll increase memory in SD Cards…

Joystiq reported earlier today that the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will clock in at 16.7 gigabytes. If you have been watching Wii U release notes, you will remember that the most expensive package contains 32 gigabytes of space and will retail for $349.99 when it is released next month. So, this one game will take up more than half of the possible internal memory the launch Wii U will cotain.

Thankfully, the Wii U will allow for external hard drives to be attached to the system. Nintendo, a relative newcomer to digital distribution of latest gen games, may be experiencing a few growing pains at it simultaneously fights trends in the latest generation of video games and accepts them.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is already out in the United States and Europe for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. The Wii U version will be released on November 18th.
