Gearbox has just released a new patch for its hit FPS and action RPG Borderlands 2 on the PC, bringing the game up to version 1.1.3 with a handful of changes.
Most notably, the new update should completely eliminate pop-in and texture fade by allowing players to toggle whether low resolution textures should be displayed at all while the high-res versions load up. If you have a high-end system, you should definitely toggle this new option.
Additionally, the new patch allows you to reset all challenge progress for a character once you've completed 85% of all non-DLC, non-area specific challenge levels. Doing so doesn't reset your challenge bonuses and ranks, but allows you to re-complete them for additional ranks and bonuses.
The rest are bug fixes, one of which should prevent you from losing your save files.
There's no word on when the patch will be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
