Remember Bethesda's Prey 2? Yeah, the sequel to shooter Prey that was supposed to come out this year? Seeing as we haven't heard a peep out of the game for this long, rumors were circulating that it's cancelled.
That doesn't seem to be the case according to Human Head's Nathan Cheever; it's just, y'know, "in limbo." Here's his tweet:
Prey 1 = Indians in Space. Prey 2 = Cowboys in Space. (#Prey2). btw, P2 hasn't been officially canceled, only in limbo.
In gaming terms, being "in limbo" is almost the same as "dead." Of course, we're not sure what Bethesda has planned for the game just yet but a studio admitting a game is in limbo is never good, no? So if you're one of the few people who liked the first Prey and are itching for more Indians in space, it's going to be a long wait.
Should Bethesda release Prey 2 on next-gen platforms or was it not that big of an IP in the first place?
