Last week a couple of promotional pictures were leaked, teasing that Sledgehammer Games will bring the Call of Duty franchise back WW2 setting opting for non-fiction rather than fiction.
Today we have news that Sledgehammer Games may have actually, always been vying for a return to its roots. As far back as April of 2016, Michael Condrey, who is the studio head and co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, wrote in his Twitter bio that among other games, he’s working on “Call of Duty ####”, which could mean WWII.
Over and above that, apparently, Sledgehammer have been teasing that Call of Duty’s return to the WWII era by releasing several new guns through Supply Drops in the game, such as the MP40, the M1 Garand, and the M1911, all three of which are noticeable old weapons from the previous Call of Duty games set in WW2.
A bit far-fetched? Let us know in the comments.
