If you've stopped buying disks, content with whatever advantages you feel you get by buying on-demand games, here's a slice of good news for you. The Devil May Cry Collection, like the Splinter Cell and Sly Cooper collections before it, will be going digital. You'll be able to get Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3 individually or as a pack on both the PlayStation Network and on Xbox's Marketplace, although I imagine you'll end up spending a little more than if you bought it on disk.
This was confirmed by Christian Svensson, the corporate officer/senior vice president at Capcom. After being asked whether the game would be digital only, he answered: "It's on disc and will at some point post-retail launch also be available digitially (as most retail games are on Games on Demand/PSN)."
The digital release of the Devil May Cry HD Collection is certainly good news for fans of choice, not so good for fans of bargains.
