The realistic war game that puts players in the roles of survivors rather than antagonists, This War of Mine, recently saw the release of a DLC that gave to the War Child charity organization that helped to change the lives of children affected by war.
War Child is currently operating in Iraq and Jordan to protect and support the lives of Syrian refugee children.
According to a press release by the game's creators, the War Child Charity DLC helped to bring positive change to the lives of 350 children.
"We’re honored to announce that support from the TWoM DLC campaign can provide the following support for 350 children: psycho-social support to recover from trauma, child friendly spaces to make sure War Child can reach a child before someone else does, informal education: school fees, livelihood support, teacher training and others," said the game's developers 11 Bit Studios.
"You can increase the number of supported children by buying the War Child Charity DLC (all of 11 bit's proceeds go to the charity). The action continues until April 3rd, so please hurry! And here's all the info summed up in one great graphic."
