Casio G-Shock and Unit9 worked with students at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg to create a new and unique advergaming experience. Introducing Five Minutes.
The game can be played on your desktop PC, but was designed to play on tablets, and with earphones on. Using your mouse or tablet touchscreen, you follow the story and swipe, tap and hold, and draw shapes to certain QTEs when prompted.
The story is a typical horror short with the aforementioned interactive twist. It starts out with a man pointing a gun to his head, bleeding in his chair. Internal narration says he hates that he does not know if he is on the road to hell, and all he can do is give himself a little test.
If you’re not distracted by the advergaming slant, this is a fine use of your five minutes. Without giving too much away, this game has some violent content and themes. Nothing too offensive, but not one to play in front of very young children. You can play the short yourself here.
