Twitter is a wonderful thing. Instead of waiting for developers to be interviewed at major industry events or by particular publications, the speed and availability of the microblogging service allows the creators to just speak their minds whenever desired. Vince Waldon, a senior director at BioWare and developer on the Dragon Age 3: Inquisition team recently had a conversation with his fellow RPG builders on the social service regarding the project’s speed. As you’d hope, something was said that quickly drew the attention of Dragon Age fans.
Waldon called the game “fast, fun, and beautiful,” but was quickly told by another member of BioWare to watch what he Tweets. Why? Because Inquisition’s pace is actually slower than the last game. You can find the full conversation below.
Dragon Age 2 was more analogous to an action game than a turn-based RPG, so we might see this third game go back to its roots. Look to hear more on the late 2014 blockbuster in the coming weeks.
