DICE has packed its latest Battlefield 3 expansion with yet another tease on Mirror's Edge and on the oft-requested Dinosaurs mode, too.
YouTube user xXHerseyBoyXx has found two rather interesting things in Aftermath's Markaz Monolith and Epicenter maps.
In the first video, we get to see Mirror's Edge protagonist Faith's running shoes on top of one of the buildings in Markaz Monolith. Not only that, but we even get to hear her "breathing," too!
That's quite a find, no? But we're not done yet. In the second video below, you'll not only get to see an Easter Egg regarding the often-requested Dinosaur mode, but there's even a Trophy associated with it, too. So, give the video a watch to see the Dinosaur figurine and get the "Bite your Finger" Trophy as well. For those curious, it's in the "C" flag of Epicenter's Conquest game mode.
Truth be told, both Easter Eggs aren't really that surprising since DICE has put them in a lot of Battlefield 3's maps. Regarding Mirror's Edge, perhaps them teasing about it really does add credence to the speculation that Mirror's Edge 2 is indeed in development at the studio as we speak.
However, for dinosaurs, or Dino-mode, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if Battlefield 3's last expansion, which is called Endgame, includes an honest-to-goodness Dino-mode. If not there, I think it's safe to assume that something similar will appear in Battlefield 4 when it hits store shelves next year.
So there you have it. Two Easter Eggs in Battlefield 3's Aftermath expansion. If you found more, don't hesitate to post in the comments to let us know. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm out to hunt for a dinosaur in Epicenter that has my Trophy all over it.
Aftermath is scheduled to be out for PC and Xbox 360 BF3 Premium users on December 4.
