Lucasfilm and Disney have revealed the official name of the next entry in the Star Wars saga alongside a release date.
The eighth episode has been revealed as The Last Jedi and will release on December 15, 2017. There are still no details about the film, however, fans have been in a fluster to put the pieces together ever since the Force Awakens debut in 2015.

THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.

The Last Jedi is set to hit the big screen on December 15, 2017.
