DUST 514 Opens to PlayStation Plus Subscribers

August 13, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

DUST 514’s precursor phase is opening to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Dust 514 Precursor Update

EVE Online and DUST 514 developers CCP is hosting a closed beta event of the upcoming MMOFPS for PlayStation Plus subscribers from August 21 to September 4.

CCP refers to the game's new testing phase as its "precursor" release, and intends to give players a small taste of what it has to offer in the full version, which is slated for release later this year.

This version of the game will see full integration between DUST 514 and EVE Online, allowing players to call down orbital strikes in the battlefield with the help of their extra-planetary allies.

In addition to support for the PS3's Dual Shock 3 controller, the game will also allow players to play with a mouse and keyboard.

If you don't currently subscribe to PlayStation Plus, you can pick up the Mercenary Pack on the PSN Store and receive unlimited testing access and special equipment to wear on the battlefield.
