New footage of the jetpack in Halo 4 has surfaced today, with some added details of the human shotgun.
The footage of the the UNSC shotgun and the jetpack runs for less than half a minute, but it gives us a good view of the weapon being used to take out an enemy at very close range—killing him with a single blast to the head from above. Don't mind the music—it's Skrillex and I don't like it all that much, either.
The shotgun is one of a few CQB weapons featured in Halo 4, which also includes a Forerunner shotgun, handguns, and a host of other weapons. Unfortunately, the shotgun in the video is a placeholder which uses textures from Halo Reach, and lacks the reticule and final textures which have yet to be shown to the public. It does give us a good idea of how the weapon will work, though.
The video was captured from the closed beta of Halo 4, which is currently being tested to polish up the multiplayer modes before the game's release.
Halo 4 is set for release on November 6 worldwide, and is exclusive to the Xbox 360.
