Little Inferno was announced a few weeks ago as the newest title by former members of 2D Boy. Creating a new studio titled Tomorrow Corporation, the rag-tag group of three developers are striking out to create another title with the same amount of magic gamers encountered in World of Goo.
They promised us more information and that has surfaced in the form of a faux-commercial for Little Inferno. Explained as a fire that will keep you warm – but only if you burn your own toys – Little Inferno is looking to heat up the icy Earth. And to burn all the children. The whole video is creepy, but that's the idea.
Also revealed on Tomorrow Corporation's site is that Little Inferno is being made by three lovable developers without funding of any kind and will be DRM free. If you like what you see, you can sign up for a chance to be part of the Early Access Beta by pre-ordering Little Inferno. After paying the $15, you will have to be patient as the beta invites roll out in batches. Seats for the beta will be filling up in a first-come-first-serve manner.
Little Inferno will be released in Winter 2012 for the Wii U console and Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
