The first phase of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s open beta has just ended and already Activision is gearing up for the next. This time around, players won’t have to pre-order a copy of the game to gain access to the beta, but instead will only need a PlayStation 4 console. That’s right, the second phase of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s open beta will open up access to all PlayStation 4 gamers.
Since the reveal of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the development team Infinity Ward and publishers Activision has received a massive backlash. With the reveal trailer, the franchise was hit by an overwhelmingly negative response with more gamers finding an interest with the upcoming Battlefield 1.
Now more gamers will have the opportunity to try out Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare first hand. Activision has revealed that gamers who own a PlayStation 4 can download the open beta right now in preparation for the next beta phase that starts this weekend.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Xbox One owners are invited to the beta without the pre-order for the game. However, those who own a PlayStation 4 could find more access to the overall open beta, this time, around as Activision teases new surprises are in the works.
For gamers interested in trying out the open beta, phase two begins on October 21, 2016, and will end on October 24, 2016.
